Outline Matthew 8-10 The Lost Sheep

Presentation Matthew 8-10 The Lost Sheep PP

A WORD OF EXPLANATION: This PowerPoint® presentation covers stories in Matthew 8:1-10:52. First it presents the Great Commission broken down into seven parts. Next to that is placed the references for the divisions of the whole Gospel of Matthew including a key phrase for each which is parallel to the seven parts of the Great Commission.

Then are listed in three columns the stories in the whole division under three titles Saved, Disciples and Workers. That is a study given in another presentation and notes.

The presentation goes on to lessons found across the rows of stories on the last slide. As you click, the slide uncovers each row of 3 stories which are parallel in some aspect of its teaching. Sound complicated at first? Maybe at first but when you think about it it may clear up.

The first row deals with the target audience, the lost sheep of the tribes of Israel and two examples of lost sheep are given in the two stories before that, the leper and Matthew, the tax person. At least two things can be learned. There are needy people in our societies and to reach them we must go near them. Jesus touched the leper and he ate with the tax people and 'sinners', and finally they preached that the Kingdom of God was near.
